System Requirements for Seamless Learning

Our platform runs on most devices. But getting the technical details right makes your experience smoother and helps you focus on what matters—learning financial analysis.

Desktop Friendly

Works best on standard computers running Windows 10 or macOS 10.15 and newer. Larger screens help when analyzing company financials side by side.

Mobile Access

Review lessons and watch videos from tablets or phones. iOS 14+ and Android 9+ supported. Some interactive tools work better on larger screens though.

Browser Updates

Chrome 100+, Firefox 95+, Safari 15+, or Edge 100+ recommended. Older versions might miss out on interactive features we built for better learning.

Connection Speed

Minimum 5 Mbps for video content. We've optimized everything to load quickly on typical Malaysian broadband connections.

What Your Computer Needs

Most laptops from the last five years will handle our platform just fine. We're not running intensive software here—it's all web-based.

You'll want at least 4GB of RAM. That's pretty standard these days. If you're planning to run spreadsheet analysis alongside our lessons, bump that up to 8GB. Your computer will thank you when you have multiple browser tabs open comparing financial statements.

Screen resolution matters more than you might think. Aim for at least 1366x768. Financial data gets cramped on smaller displays, and you'll be squinting at numbers more than necessary.

Storage isn't a huge concern since everything lives online. But if you download course materials or save company reports locally, keep some free space available. 256GB SSD should be plenty.

Recommended Specifications

These aren't strict requirements. But they'll give you the smoothest experience when working through financial analysis modules.

Processor

Intel Core i5 (8th gen) or AMD Ryzen 5 series. Anything from 2018 onwards works well. We've tested on older processors too—they manage, just with slightly longer load times.

Memory

8GB RAM for comfortable multitasking. You'll often have video lessons, spreadsheets, and company reports open simultaneously. Less memory means more browser refreshing.

Display

1920x1080 resolution preferred for financial dashboards. Higher resolutions are great but not necessary. Just make sure text is readable without zooming constantly.

Audio

Headphones or speakers that you're comfortable wearing for extended periods. Video lessons can run 20-30 minutes. Built-in laptop speakers work but headphones help you focus.

Software

PDF reader for downloadable materials. Spreadsheet software helps but isn't required—many exercises use web-based tools. JavaScript enabled in your browser is essential.

Backup Options

Cloud storage account recommended for saving your analysis work. Google Drive or Dropbox integration makes it easy to pick up where you left off on different devices.

Mobile and Tablet Considerations

You can access most content from mobile devices. But honestly, some activities are designed for desktop use. Here's what works well on smaller screens and what doesn't.

  • Video lectures stream perfectly on tablets and phones—great for learning during commutes
  • Reading materials and PDFs display fine, though you'll do more scrolling
  • Interactive comparison tools can feel cramped on screens under 10 inches
  • Spreadsheet exercises are challenging on mobile—desktop strongly recommended for those
  • Discussion forums and Q&A sections work smoothly on all device sizes
  • Quiz questions adapt well to mobile interfaces

Internet Connection Requirements

Speed matters less than stability. A consistent 5 Mbps connection beats a fluctuating 50 Mbps one any day.

Video content adjusts quality automatically based on your bandwidth. We've tested this extensively in Malaysia where speeds vary quite a bit between areas. Urban centers with fiber connections get HD quality instantly. Areas with slower broadband still get watchable video—it just takes a moment to buffer.

Mobile data works for most content. A typical 30-minute video lesson uses about 200MB at standard quality. If you're on a limited data plan, download lessons over WiFi beforehand.

Live webinar sessions need more consistent speeds. We recommend at least 10 Mbps for those to avoid frustrating freezes during important explanations.
